Truth be told that when I first stumbled upon the recipe, I nearly gave this cake a miss. One because it involves so many different process - there's the biscuits crumb layer to be done, and then the cream cheese layer, choc ganache, caramel sauce..
Sheesh!
But a couple of pages later. Heck, I could do this in no time! And I was right. After just one trial, it worked! And now, this cake has carved its own name as the most wanted cake on our list. Thanks to you :)
You see. As complicated as it may sound, this cake is by far the simplest cake recipe I've ever done. Seriously. I'll show you.
First, biscuit crumbs + butter = line it on bottom pan. Next, beat the cream cheese, sugar, eggs and VE (vanilla essence). Add in some sour cream or whipped cream if you like.
Then comes the best part. Chopped snickers, and then layers of choc ganache and caramel sauce. Just dump 'em right in... Oh yeah baby..
And strangely enough, some snickers had never actually made it into the cake pan. Hmm.. I wonder why.. ( licking my fingers, mischieviously).
Some ordered this for makan2. But a few may also like to have it for special occasion eg. bday. And when it calls for decoration to be done, I sometimes cringed. Because of the peanuts and caramel on top, the uneven surface doesn't help much for me to pipe designs on it. So I often opt for this design...
Thanks Zana for this order. I hope you enjoy this cake as much as I enjoyed baking it (and eating bits and pieces of snickers in between). hehe.. :p
