Blooms

Whenever I grow any kind of plants or flowers, they usually don't get to see the ray of light for long. Working in environment field doesn't necessarily mean I have green hands. That's why I don't like gardening. It's frustrating to know I'm responsible for the dying flora.

But it's a different kind of story with THESE flowers. A sugary kind of flowers. I know I'm not good at growing the living ones but I sure can grow these babies...

How do you explain...?

My daughter and I were watching Buletin Utama about issues of baby abandonment among teenagers when she suddenly asked me:

" Mama, why are they throwing the baby at the dump site?"

" Because they don't want the baby ".

And then she paused, her eyes were focusing on the moving headlines below the TV screen. And then she caught me off guard with her curiosity..

" Mama, what does it mean by sex out of wedlock (seks luar nikah) ? "

" Err... " ( I was dumbstruck. Obviously unprepared for a 6 year old to bombard me with this sort of questions. I'm such a horrible hopeless mom! )

Help? Anyone?

Dora themed cupcakes for little Qaseh!

These Dora themed cupcakes with loves & flowers was ordered by Fazrina for her little Qaseh's 2nd bday!

FYI, I didn't charge extra for the drawing but I'd prefer my dear customers to avoid asking me to draw again. A friendly reminder: I scored C in Lukisan during school. So paham2 la part lukis melukis kamek ya ok? Hehe.. Just compare those Dora faces that I did. The 1st dora I did being on top row and the 2nd one on last row. Jauh beza.. But the 1st one was fairly so-so compared to 2nd one.

Anyway, thanks to Fazrina for this order. Hope Qaseh had a blast at the party ;-)

Shall we call these branded or fashionista cupcakes? Any other way, this was my first attempt to decorate such designs. And it was A LOT more challenging to draw with buttercream coz you must get the right font to replicate the original labels. The theme was black and white, and khairul requested for all the famous monogrammes I could think of. Ok, let's see. fendi..check. MNG..check. LV..check. But can YOU recognise the labels? Hehe.. nway thanks so much Khairul for your order. Hopefully Hanis approved of the designs and loved the surprise visit we gave her :-)

Last saturday was a very hectic day as we had to bake more than 200 cupcakes in one single day (that was a lot, well at least for us part-timers). Orders include this one from Nora. She requested 100 pc for her daughter's and sister's bday. We waived the delivery fee for her as we were late on that day (so sorry Nora for keeping u waiting so long). Nway TQ again for the order.
